HopelPopel Scottish Terriers
Happy New Year Everyone

What a year it was, blessed with a litter of five beautiful  Scottie girls in March and  Jim needing emergency brain surgery two weeks later it was a stressful time for sure. Daughter Annette to the rescue helping out at the hospital and on the homefront with the new puppies.  Calah proved to be a wonderful Mother again with her second litter.

By summer the pups were all placed in wonderful homes, we kept one girl "Pippa" that has exceeded all of my expections.  She is the total package of conformation, attitiude and just fun to be around and live with.

We did have a tornado to deal with this Summer, many good friends were devasted by the ruins, and later Hurricane Irene was a force to be reconded with;  so why is Mother Nature targeting Western MA?? We can't  forget the "Octsnowber" blizzard over Halloween wknd that dumped over two feet of snow on our property.  We were luckier than most as many of my friends and co-workers were out of power for over a week.   With a generator we survived.

Now for the good things, a wonderful cruise up the North Atlantic coast, Prince's domination as the Scottie top winner  in New England and lovely holiday in Georgia.  Wishing everyone a happy 2012!

1/25/12: Love, love, love these doggie beds!   I was buying them at shows and paying much, much more,.  Last week  as I was washing one I found the tag and website to the manufacturer.  These beds are more like mattresses that I use in crates, around the house for naps, etc.  I put a nice, warm sherpa over in the Winter and a cotton mat in the summer.  The cover can be wiped clean or you can unzip and toss it in the wash.  They are espceially nice for older dogs, or like my Missy with a thin coat, it provides a nice cushion of comfort..best of all I learned they are made by the disabeled.  The Website is called Alliedsewing.com
